By combining aspects of both portraiture and improvisation, the New Series (working title) explores an intimate space in dance. Contemporary choreographers rely increasingly upon improvisational movement to create works and generate movement that is unique and comfortable to the individual. As with choreography, limitations are stacked upon a dancer for a given assignment and captured in the frame creating a unique and individual photograph of each dancer.
